Don't miss the annual Southern History Camp this June 28 & 29 at McIntosh Reserve. This event will be the highlight of your summer! History interpreters from the Sons of Confederate Veterans oversee this educational and fun event to ensure that the South's true history is presented. Campers will be involved in historical skits, will learn to fire a musket and canon, and will eat like the soldiers did.
The Georgia Division, Sons of Confederate
Veterans is proud to present the This year’s Camp is dedicated to the memory of Alfred Wayne Cook, former Commander of the Forrest's Escort camp in Villa Rica. Wayne was one of the most faithful workers at the Southern History Camps. The kids also knew Wayne as Santa Claus. Wayne will really be missed and it is with great love and fond memories that we dedicate this years camp to Commander Wayne Cook.
